The Medical Towers at Shadowglen facility is a new three-story freestanding medical office building designed and equipped to support multiple tenants across many medical disciplines. At approximately 35,000 square feet, all tenant spaces in the building were designed by BSA LifeStructures.
One specific tenant, Arise Woundcare and Hyperbaric Center, focused heavily on staff and patient flow. BSA LifeStructures designers worked closely with the user group to fashion the most efficient use of space. This led to a floor plan that has centralized designated staff areas, while maintaining the separation needed on the clinical side between the Rehab facility and the Wound Care Clinic.
The Rehab facility has three private treatment rooms and a 1,200 sf Gym. The hyperbaric clinic is outfitted with five Exam Rooms and a hyperbaric room designed for 2 hyperbaric chambers. These chambers were relocated from an existing facility. Our designers worked closely with equipment consultants on the medgas piping requirements as well as coordinated the site work involved with the new oxygen enclosure. The gym area and the hyperbaric room were strategically located so that patients could enjoy the views offered by the full height curtainwall windows that wrap the corners of the building at the second level.
