This new standalone hospital in Gas City, Indiana, represents a significant healthcare facility expansion, strengthening Marion Health’s commitment to accessible medical care. As a leading healthcare architecture firm, our focus was on creating a state-of-the-art hospital building design that meets the needs of an underserved community. Our innovative healthcare design integrates sustainable building design, advanced MEP engineering solutions, and patient-centered care.

The hospital planning and design reflect Grant County’s industrial heritage, while seamlessly integrating healing environments and sustainable healthcare architecture. Our healthcare architects, engineers, and interior designers worked collaboratively to create a space that blends modern medical facility design with the calming presence of nature. Together, modern design and elements of nature are proven to enhance both patient care and staff efficiency.

Designed as a patient-centered environment, this 113,000-square-foot, 4-story hospital incorporates advanced healthcare engineering solutions to support efficient hospital operations. The facility offers comprehensive orthopedic and spine services, including surgical suites, rehabilitation spaces, and outpatient clinics. Additionally, the hospital interior design ensures a hospitality-like atmosphere for patient experience and provider workflow.

Finally, key hospital building design features include:

  • Integrated healthcare solutions with ambulatory services, family practice, and multi-specialty outpatient clinics
  • Emergency department with a helipad, radiology, and laboratory services
  • Sustainable building design, balancing energy efficiency with maintainable MEP engineering solutions
  • Flexible infrastructure for future expansions, supporting the region’s growing healthcare needs

This project underscores our expertise in innovative healthcare design, hospital system design, and healthcare MEP engineering, providing a cutting-edge healthcare environment that elevates patient outcomes and community well-being.
