This medical pavilion provides much-needed physician office space with a new eight-story medical office building. The outpatient building can house up to 30 new doctors’ offices, a surgery center, a pharmacy, a restaurant, and an integrated 260-space parking structure.
The new building sits on a prominent site and makes a bold design statement that communicates high-quality care in a convenient location for Chicago-area patients. The building includes new clinics for orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, thoracic, podiatry, pain management, and urology. The hospital and a major physician group with Swedish Covenant own and operate the facility, while a joint venture between the hospital and physicians occupy the ambulatory surgery center.
Additionally, BSA provided energy modeling services. The goals of the project were to create a LEED-certified facility with minimal operations and maintenance complications. Special attention was paid to the installation of meters to measure building energy and water consumption, both total and by system.
