This project provides quality healthcare to the under-served members of the community. The site is laid out in a way to maximize patient, staff and service convenience. This new addition is considered phase 1 of a multi-phased project and will contain all new clinical space and will be constructed to a fully operational status. During the second phase, the existing SIU clinic building will be renovated for staff offices. This will allow the facility to maintain operations with the least amount of inconvenience during the construction phase.
The Center for Family Medicine is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), a private, not for profit health care provider that provides medical care to the underserved.
It is this recent designation that has driven additional patient volume to CFM and is the primary reason for the expansion program.
