Housed near the center of Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus, rests the new Thomas S. and Harvey D. Wilmeth Active Learning Center (WALC). This state of the art center was envisioned as an entirely new type of higher education environment.
BSA LifeStructures experts were recently asked to take part in pulling together an essay about the WALC for a section in the newly released book, A Purdue Icon: Creation, Life and Legacy.
This book speaks to the history of Purdue’s iconic smoke stack that was demolished in the early 1990s as well as the new developments that have taken its place and are featured on campus today.
Our expert’s will be at the book signing held on Thursday, September 21 from 4:oo p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The signing will be held in the Reading Room of the Wilmeth Active Learning Center, located on the second floor. Click HERE for directions.
