Discovery, Healing, Learning

As we navigate through the current times, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on something truly special about our company – our commitment to learning from and serving our communities – throughout the year.

At BSA, we believe that our mission extends beyond designing exceptional spaces for healing, learning, and discovery. It also includes positively impacting the lives of those in our community. This year, I’m proud to share with you some incredible moments of generosity from our team.

The organizations around the country that we have supported this year are a testament to the compassion and kindness of our employee-owners. Together, we’ve partnered with a variety of groups that support our corporate goals to promote diversity, as well as our local community’s emphasis on supporting the next generation. We want to highlight a few of these partnerships:

Diversify Architecture is an organization that supports education and promotes the field of architecture to young people around Raleigh, North Carolina, and throughout the East Coast. They also conduct seminars and introductory sessions to schools, provide scholarships, and help with licensure. Our donation will support local and state clubs, and we’re proud that one of our employee-owners, Jasmyn Byrd, is on the board of this organization.

We have also made donations to the Ronald McDonald House in St. Louis, Second Helpings and The Hope Center in Indianapolis, Save the Manatee Club, K9 Partners for Patriots, and All Hands and Hearts in Tampa. Additionally, our employee-owners have volunteered with Children’s Cheer Tree Decorating and Food for Thought, which packs food bags for childhood hunger in Denver, Women in Healthcare, where our Denver studio director Kat DiPietro is a Mentorship Co-chair and Board member, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, ACE Mentor Program, and donated to The Wheeler Mission in Indianapolis, as well as the American Heart Association.

As a 100% employee-owned company, it’s not just about monetary donations; it’s part of our BSA DNA. Our employee-owners have dedicated their time and energy to volunteer initiatives, showing that serving our communities is not just a part of our firm’s values; it’s a part of our culture and directly connects to our mission of improving lives, including the lives of our employee-owners, our clients, and our communities.

We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every client we’ve had the fortunate opportunity to work with over the past year. So many of our clients share a mindset for making the world a better place. Your actions embody the spirit of community service and align with BSA’s core values that drive our company forward.

As we move forward, remember that learning from and serving our communities is not just a seasonal tradition; it’s an essential part of who we are. Together, we can continue to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
