It is projected that, in ten years, hospitals across the country will be offering transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) as a matter of course. Currently, TAVR is only offered at two to three hospitals and two to three surgery centers, out of approximately 15, in central Texas. This scenario asks area healthcare leaders whether physician training or facility requirements explain why this geography is under-supported to serve TAVR demand.
