Strategic Master Facility Plan
Newer hospital gets direction for future facility growth
St. John West Shore Hospital is outgrowing their current facilities despite being the youngest hospital in the Cleveland metropolitan area. Recognizing the growing population in their suburban setting, the hospital addressed space needs through a strategic master facility plan. This plan included a bedded care analysis and acute care throughput study that sets the tone for future additions and renovations.
Recommendations were made based upon hospital strategy and included new inpatient units and a new cancer center to house radiation oncology and physician offices. Also proposed was a new 3-story facility to address the overcrowded and limited spaces of the pharmacy, laboratory and surgery departments.
