St. Mary's Center for Advanced Medicine
New building serves as catalyst for change
The Center for Advanced Medicine is the result of a collaboration between St. Mary's Medical Center, Ohio Valley Heart Care physicians group and BremnerDuke Healthcare Real Estate. Setting the standard for future development on the St. Mary’s campus, the Center for Advanced Medicine houses the latest high-speed, non-invasive diagnostic equipment, laboratories and cardiac rehabilitation services.
The design includes three main elements: a glass-enclosed entrance, a tower and an office building. The tower’s spire is visually and emotionally uplifting. The sweeping horizontals of the concave glass wall suggest arms that embrace visitors and the site.
