Science Laboratories Upgrade
Transitioning fifty year old labs into modern science education environments
Like many universities across the nation, Indiana State needed to transition 50-year-old science laboratories to reflect modern academic science pedagogy. Given the age of the facility, this project required thoughtful redesign of existing infrastructure in order to integrate today’s technology and modern lab requirements.
New labs for general chemistry, physical chemistry, anatomy, physiology and climatology feature lab stations with flat panel screens pull down when needed and recess during professor instruction. Warm wood tones update the hallways and classrooms and playful shapes and colors promote enthusiasm for learning and a relaxed, welcoming environment.
