Replacement Hospital Project Definition
Reinventing operations for a successful new hospital
To become the hospital of choice for the surrounding region, St. Mary’s Good Samaritan desired a hospital that would improve patient safety, enhance efficiency, create a healing environment for patients and visitors and provide staff with a desirable workplace environment. Working alongside the hospital administration and user groups from departments throughout the hospital, the multidisciplinary BSA LifeStructures planning team identified current operations that functioned well and those that needed improvement. New and alternative care and work concepts were explored, ultimately shaping the new hospital’s desired functionality.
