Continuing the “Arches of Elwood” community tradition, the hospital combines locally inspired architecture with revitalized outpatient care to create a thriving critical access hospital.
The 25-bed critical access hospital includes a new patient entry, lobby and registration, emergency department, radiology, laboratory services, medical specialty clinics, gift shop and chapel. Maximizing available space and staffing, the ED also functions as a critical care unit. Renovated surgery space has private day rooms so patients receive a continuum of care in one room.
