New Patient Tower
Hospital grows with community
This six story patient tower provides the benefits of a replacement hospital while remaining on a familiar site. The expansion nearly doubles the square footage of the hospital and creates a new entrance, emergency, radiology, critical care, OB/GYN, and chapel. A well-designed infrastructure allows the patient tower to adapt to changes and expansion.
The project enhances efficiency, privacy and patient flow with a dedicated area for low-acuity emergency patients, acuity adaptable critical care rooms, decentralized nurse stations and private patient rooms. Consistent colors and design elements of brick, glass and concrete respect the existing facility and visually break up the massing of the tower.
