Martin C. Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering
Building advances new program
This facility houses the biomedical engineering program and accommodates a new undergraduate biomedical program and a threefold increase in faculty.
Specialty areas in the building include optics labs, projects labs, microscope rooms and tissue culture labs. The facility helps Purdue continue its leadership in advancing medicine with 18 teaching and research laboratories and strengthened collaboration with other institutions and life science entities. With strong connection to the marketplace, biomedical building was positioned to serve as a gateway to Purdue’s new Discovery Park
The program received over 300 applications for 30 graduate student slots in its first year of existence and is on course to double its research productivity within 5 years.
