Center for Medical Education - Raclin-Carmichael Hall
Universities building the future together
Indiana University and the University of Notre Dame share facilities in Raclin-Carmichael Hall. The building, which houses IU’s South Bend Center for Medical Education, is adjacent to the Notre Dame campus, allowing researchers and students from both campuses to work together and learn from each other. While the building is owned and operated by IU, its limestone and Gothic architecture respect the Notre Dame campus.
Classrooms, laboratories, exam rooms and study lounges, provide room for Indiana University medical students. Notre Dame’s W. M. Keck Center for Transgene Research also occupies offices and research facilities in the building.
