Cancer Research Center - Harper Hall
Two major universities collaborate in a facility for medical education and research
Building on the attached Raclin-Carmichael Hall, Harper Hall represents another major step in IU School of Medicine-South Bend and Notre Dame collaboration to become a national center of excellence in medical education and research.
The new facility includes laboratories and offices for the new Mike and Josie Harper Cancer Research Institute. Scientists from Notre Dame and Indiana University will collaborate on research in the area of cancer biology, with an emphasis on genomics and proteomics. The building is designed to accommodate several complex components, including bio organic chemistry, a BSL-3 laboratory, NMR (900 MHz), a vivarium, and additional imaging.
