Site Analysis and Selection
Site selection for a groundbreaking new facility
The first major step in the creation of a new comprehensive medical campus, this project reviewed several potential sites to meet hospital criteria. The sites were tested on their ability to successfully accommodate a program use consisting of a 500,000 square foot hospital, three 80,000-square-foot medical office buildings, and over 3,400 parking spaces. In addition to meeting the capacity required, the sites were evaluated on their ability to provide public utilities and infrastructure to support the typical needs of a busy hospital campus. Other influencers on the healing environment were studied, including: access, noise pollution and visibility.
