Breakthrough trials possible in resort-like setting

As the flagship clinical trial unit for Eli Lilly & Company, the Lilly Center for Medical Science sets a highly professional tone for attracting volunteers for the Phase II human testing protocols required for new drugs.

The facility was constructed as a vertical expansion of the Ambulatory Care Center of the IU Health University Hospital. The facility includes spa-like exam and overnight-stay rooms with consolidated office and research lab space.  The entrance through a resort-type lobby bypasses the hospital setting, putting volunteers and visitors at ease.
