Joseph E. Walther Hall - School of Medicine
Research complex fosters lifesaving discoveries
Joseph E. Walther Hall houses scientific discovery for lifesaving therapies, especially in cancer treatment. It’s designed to promote collaboration among principal investigators and faculty researchers in multiple disciplines and to increase translational research, the application of research to patient care. The facility includes cancer, neuroscience and immunobiology programs.
The building’s program includes 119 labs, including a gene vector production facility with a class 10,000 clean room, BSL3 research suites and a cell repository/DNA serum bank.
Walther Hall connects to adjacent research complex facilities through a common floor, creating a seamless flow from one building to another.
