Business incubator advances life sciences
Located in the Indianapolis bio-opportunity zone, the Emerging Technologies Center offers life sciences entrepreneurs access to affordable well-equipped office space, business advisors, management expertise, and venture capital. It provides direct connections to the research capabilities of the Indiana University School of Medicine as well as human and technical resources required by newly formed companies.
The fast-track project renovated a warehouse into laboratory space in six months. In addition, a second level and systems infrastructure for research and production needs were added. In its first year of operation, the incubator’s appealing lease per square foot cost helped to achieve 85% occupancy.
