Don & Dana Myers Cancer Center
Convenient oncology care adjacent to hospital
The freestanding cancer center is designed to be visually interesting from all angles. On approach, a glass canopy with skylights and a stone facade with steel elements draw visitors to the cancer center entrance. After entering the one-story vestibule, visitors are greeted with a home-like environment with an atrium lobby that includes a fireplace, curved stone walls, and a resource center.
The center includes eight medical oncology stations, a linear accelerator, CT simulator, and exam rooms. Medical oncology includes some open areas and some with screen walls, allowing patients to choose privacy or interaction. The center is prepared for growth with future accommodation of a second linear accelerator.
