Clincal Laboratory Renovation & Expansion
Expanding to meet demand for lab services
This project renovated the existing laboratory at Deaconess Hospital and expanded into adjacent spaces to provide the necessary space to meet expanding clinical pathology needs. An existing patient drop-off area was creatively in-filled to provide a large enough floor plate to develop the core laboratory functions served by a central processing area. The lab space features a modular approach, with re-configurable laboratory casework.
The design team used a creative solution to accommodate the required mechanical systems for the lab given the limited floor-to-ceiling height.
