Center for Health Sciences and Healing Arts
Creating a home for a new college of medicine
Marian University’s new College of Osteopathic Medicine addresses the growing demand for physicians in Indiana and across the country. The Center for Health Sciences and Healing Arts will be the home for the new medical college and the University’s School of Nursing.
The building was designed in conjunction with curriculum development, resulting in a facility that enables inter-professional training and experiential learning. Skills labs and simulation rooms encourage hands-on training while adjacent nursing and medicine classrooms creating opportunities for interaction among nurses and physicians.
The University worked with several hospitals to design a learning environment applicable to the healthcare environments where the graduates will be working.
The facility is being designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.
