LEED certification fulfills client’s green goals

BP Cantera 3 is one of the first commercial interior projects to receive the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Building Certification.

BSA LifeStructures provided systems engineering and commissioning services for the five-story office building. The project integrated new chilled water, steam and electrical distribution equipment with the existing systems. The designers were challenged with retrofitting existing infrastructure with energy efficient systems that improve air quality. The project’s environmental impact was minimized with infrastructural elements creatively re-purposed for use in other buildings.
