The Cancer Research Institute consolidates cancer research on a prominent site in the Indiana University Medical Center. The facility houses the nationally recognized Herman B. Wells Center for Pediatric Research, the Walther Oncology Center and the IU Hematology and Oncology Division, one of the leading centers of stem cell transplantation and gene therapy.
The building contains over 62 research laboratories, faculty and principal investigator offices, a lecture hall, a virus production facility and an elevated connector to adjacent patient care facilities. Specialty areas include monoclonal antibody labs, flow cytometry lab, DNA labs and a vivarium facility.
The building has been featured in Building Design & Construction and Contract magazines.
