Ambulatory Surgery Center
Outpatient surgery center design focuses on efficiency
Approximately 11,000 surgical cases and procedures will be performed each year in this center's six operating rooms and four minor procedure and endoscopy rooms.
A centrally located clean core adjacent to all operating rooms separates sterile and soiled materials and a central sterile at the end of the clean core eliminates the need for circulation space between the two areas. Prep and recovery rooms grouped in pods around a curved corridor spine system, increases the staff’s visibility to the rooms and reduces travel distances. Four minor procedure and endoscopy rooms circle around a single soiled and clean area, reducing the need for additional staffing, equipment and supplies.
