Acute Care Consolidation
Three acute care hospitals become one
This monumental project identified a long-term plan for the implementation of a consolidated campus for West Virginia’s largest medical center. Through an analytical planning process that explored future growth, patient and staff convenience and support of organizational goals, it was revealed that the Memorial campus offered the best long-term opportunity for the more than 5,000 employees and 913 licensed hospital in the CAMC system.
The consolidated campus also offered educational partnerships with the co-located West Virginia University Health Sciences Center, which houses their schools of medicine, dentistry, nursing and pharmacy.
