Kalevi Huotilainen

Kalevi is a Design Principal for BSA LifeStructures and has been engaged in facility planning and design since 1983. Kalevi brings client vision to life with meaningful architectural design that is inspired by culture, people and place. He is a firm believer in beginning every project with a discovery phase that explores and reveals the many factors that will shape the design response.
 
His experience is rich in campus settings, including extensive work in university and institutional environments. Seeking opportunities to strengthen and support institutional vision and mission, Kalevi seamlessly integrates new facilities into campuses through deliberate consideration of existing campus plans and context. His notable work includes Stinson-Remick Hall for the University of Notre Dame, Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering for Purdue University, and the Kelley School of Business for Indiana University.
