Keith Smith

With expertise in facility planning, BSA LifeStructures President Keith Smith believes in delivering added value through innovative solutions that serve clients’ goals and functional needs. He also believes in the value of sound project management to deliver those solutions on-time and on-budget. Keith has significant experience designing future-thinking healthcare environments, including prototype facilities for specialized long-term acute care and orthopedic care.

Keith received his master’s degree in architecture from the University of Michigan and joined BSA LifeStructures in 1982. Since joining the firm, he has developed an expertise in master site and facility planning, feasibility studies and analysis, and project management. After earning a variety of leadership and project management roles, he took over as president in 2010 with the goals to strengthen the firm's culture of design collaboration and to further national and international growth through the firm's expertise within healing, learning and discovery market segments.
