Kay Townsend

A key thought leader of the laboratory design studio, Kay is passionate about applying her knowledge of laboratory methodologies and technologies to create inspiring environments for discovery. Kay’s laboratory experience ranges from highly focused clinical research to highly flexible labs used to study a wide range of subjects and criteria. She is inspired by the work that is done in laboratories and is remarkably adept at understanding individual user needs and meeting those in context with organizational research objectives.

She has designed laboratory and research space for clients in the healthcare, education, pharmaceutical, agricultural and life sciences sectors. Her work is recognized for efficiency and productivity as much as it is aesthetically and includes both renovated and new construction lab and research space.
