James Hill

Jim provides leadership to the laboratory design studio with an expertise in the planning, programming, design and management of science and research facilities. He adds value to his clients’ projects through a broad understanding of the technical issues, support systems and emerging trends associated with complex laboratory environments.
 
Jim strives to create research environments that incorporate the latest innovative technology and equipment while remaining flexible for future changes in pedagogy and research methodology. Working collaboratively within the interdisciplinary laboratory studio, his team has created several high performance LEED certified and registered research facilities. His clients include Butler University, Indiana University, Purdue University, Northern Illinois University, the University of Notre Dame, Eli Lilly, Elanco and IU Health.
