Donald Altemeyer

Don joined the firm in 1975 and is a founding Principal of BSA LifeStructures. His career has encompassed the creation of several milestone projects, including the delivery of 14 new buildings to Indiana University’s medical research campus and the planning and implementation of the $1.1 billion New Indianapolis Airport. Don’s ability to balance innovative design solutions with management of large complex projects has brought the firm many long-term client relationships. To date, he has served as Principal-in-Charge for a wide range of medical and research projects that exceed $2.5 billion in total project costs.

In 2008, Don was awarded the AIA Indiana Pierre Award for his outstanding service to the architectural profession and the public. His dedication to these areas is demonstrated by his leadership roles in the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the World Presidents Organization, the Indianapolis-Marion County Building Authority and the Indiana Business Diversity Council.
