Donald Able

Don leads the integration of sustainable concepts in the firm’s planning and architectural design process. He uses his experience as planner, programmer, designer and knowledge of US Green Building Council chapter leadership to deliver innovative sustainable designs across all market sectors. Don has been instrumental in the sustainable work designed by BSA LifeStructures. Besides facilitating numerous eco-charettes establishing sustainable goals, strategies and responsive design for both LEED and other high performance facilities, he has administered several LEED projects.  He is currently administering the sustainable efforts of 2 Green Globes projects.
 
Don has used his past healthcare experience to become a recognized expert in managing critical healthcare projects where patient care must remain operational during often long periods of construction. He is an advocate of creating phasing strategies during the planning phase that minimizes disruption and therefore adds value for his clients.
