Academic buildings are active spaces that can be used as an integral part of the curriculum. This has been our approach for some of the nation’s leading academic engineering programs. We create high performance buildings that use adaptable and collaborative design to stimulate analytical thinking – in the classroom or the lab.
We use visual connections and technology to unite research and education initiatives. Classrooms and research spaces are wrapped in glass. Building energy performance becomes part of the curriculum through interactive usage monitors. Classrooms are replaced with learning labs. The result – a facility that celebrates the contribution of the engineering profession.
