Through dedication to researching the disease, the available therapies and the thousands of hours spent interviewing cancer patients and oncologists, we create healing environments committed to the holistic care offered in these facilities. To alleviate the stress associated with treatment, we consider everything involved in the patient, family and caregiver experience. Design is used as a tool to create intuitive campus wayfinding and an exterior façade that puts patients at ease. Inside, active spaces encourage interaction during therapy while passive spaces offer private moments with family that are critical to the recovery process. Nature is integrated into the treatment process at every opportunity, from abundant natural light to therapeutic views of healing gardens that embrace the cancer center.
